I think I may be a practicalist-idealist. Idealistic in elections, but practicalist between elections. We have to do the best we can with the tools we have and while AOC increasingly seems to be little more than a tool, a tool is still better than a non-OSHA approved machine that's seemingly designed to inflict bodily damage.

And if all else fails, you can always stop the machine by inserting a tool into the moving parts. The tool won't be usable after that, but slowing down/stopping the machine however briefly cam be somewhat of a moral victory, at least as much so as owning a shiny new tool that you haven't had any use for since you got laid off.

Nice take on this, Mark. Yes. I think of most liberals, even Biden, as someone who might be useful, and that usefulness shouldn't be ignored. Of course, not much should be expected of them either.

As to AOC, it will be interesting to see if this is her last bounce, or if some final Pelosi-sourced betrayal sets her back on a more oppositional path. We'll see — the drama will play out before us.
