There is an over-abundance of overwhelming inaccuracy on climate science. As you may not know, since roughly 2000, carbon emissions from the US has gone down and stabilized. It has exploded in China and India. Facts matter….

Under our amended Constitutional democracy we would have put the frackers out of our misery some time past (maybe 50 ppm CO2 ago). But we live under Precedents of the Federalist Kangaroo Court that mock the very idea of democracy. The most potent thread, '76 Valeo - '78 Bank of Boston, '10 Citizens United, '17 McDonnell, made money the opiate of the Candidate. In every election, Federal and State, Democrat and Republican - the ad$diction is on the ballot. The Primary DNC-RNC goal is to advance green-slime addicts to the General.

The pushers over this 45 year plan of ever higher doses and ever more feral demands, has effectively effected that merger of State and corporate power Mussolini called Fascism. But a twisted Fascism where the corporations form an uncoordinated Cabal of legalized bribery. Each corporate sector bribes Congress - typical 1M$ fix reaps 1B$ return stolen from us and our children. Their conflicting interests doom this Fascism, doom us, to an early death on a dying planet with our children cursing our existence.

That's not the way I choose to go. This corporate fracking Death Star is powering up to destroy itself. But its power, its connection of cash to Congress, is simply the vile and fragile precedents of a criminal Court. That Court which has absolved itself of any ethical constraints. In fact the only constraint on their employment is that the swore an oath to uphold the Constitution. Article 3 Section 1 states "Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour". Trashing the very concept of American - not good Behaviour.

As it requires but 51 Senators to confirm a Justice in her job, 51 suffices to terminate them (from employment). As all Federal Judges bow (stare decisis) to Precedents, and as a grotesque number of those are grotesquely unConstitutional; this is a complete judicial reset. Does that seem unfair? Recall that we train every member of the military that they have a duty to disobey an illegal or unConstitutional order. Should we expect less of our judges? [A related question: Is the Federalist Society a terrorist organization?]

We need some mechanism for funding. . . Oh here: Give each voter a $200 voucher (public money) that can only be used in contributions to Federal campaigns as that voter sees fit. Candidates will be disqualified if they take anything else. [This is the short version; there are details - in all the preceding.]

Now we own our Congress. And thus there is a clean fast solution political solution to climate collapse I trust that we can convince ourselves that addressing Climate Chaos deserves a WWII level of effort. Specifically:

Budget WWII - 42% of GDP for 5 years = 8T$/year (>100 times BBB proposal)

Taxes WWII - 94% max marginal tax rate. Adjusted for inflation, that kicks in at 4M$. Adjusted for 47 years of store-bought tax cuts, tax breaks, subsidies, bailouts, stock buy-backs; that tax rate applies to unrealized capital gains :-)

Fair Market principles - A UBI at ~$500/month per adult, half per minor, funded by a $200/ton CO2e Tax calculated at the source (co-generated Methane in fracking will make fracked gas and oil the most expensive fuel - those monsters will bankrupt quickly).

It is hard to advocate for a massive assault on the infrastructure that is cooking the planet due to the short term severe harm to those that lose livelihoods. For that matter all of us will suffer from the lack of fossil fuel. It seems presumptuous to call for the eradication of life as we live it. What gives any one of us that right?

The end of this dilemma is that the planet itself will decide and not in a good way the best course of action to mitigate the harm of our existence.

What is frightening is my fear to state plainly what must be done.

Speaking as somebody directly involved in five of the "cancelled" fracked CNG pipelines from the Marcellus: efficient AGW mitigation was what spooked Energy In Depth, AGA & API was, consumers finally realizing they'd save money by adopting an ALL of the applicable tech solutions to cutting costs? We'd realized we can't fix AGW by turning up the AC in our RAM on way to buy a Slurpee. ALL of these equities KICKED ASS right through Trump's trying to kill AGW mitigation's German & Chinese suppliers. "Our" party shorting & trying to crush Chinese & German equities, began late winter 2021. Ukraine & Nord Stream was simply icing on the cake?
