I am managing to survive despite the best efforts of my better classed fellow beings.

It's a class war all the way down, with the upper classes providing agendas for lower classes to fight over. Can't have those fights be about class.

When I scour the landscape for the inevitable scars of human occupation, it is obvious which class caused them and that, that same class, benefits almost completely.

FWIW, MLK was in rather bad odor with liberals at the time of his murder, because he refused to toe the Team D party line with respect to the War In Vietnam.

Add to this the CIA's takeover of major universities (and the public radio/tv stations they own). I can't think of any major US institutions that haven't been perverted by money or power.

We noticed a conservative takeover of our Catholic church in 1983—it was prolly a local thing as our parish was taken over by an older, more taciturn priest. I stopped going. With permission from parents I still had to go a church, but I could choose which one (my family was nearly as hacked off as i was). So it went to the local Unitarian Church with a friend until I was out of high school and no longer was compelled to do services on Sunday. My family of *devoted* Catholics switched to Episcopalian not too long thereafter.

I’m afraid the same effect is seen in progressive organizing, but it’s at the level of funding, so it didn’t require infiltration—it’s just fundraising as usual from foundations of dead aristocrats. It’s getting worse as funders are often now living aristocrats like Reid Hoffman who are interested mostly in dirty work.
