I’ll have to watch the TED talk, but I completely disagree with Mr Englander’s opinion that we won’t be seeing the effects this century; in fact, I’d argue we’re already seeing them all over the planet. If anything, scientists have consistently & worryingly underestimated both the speed & severity of human induced climate change & it seems to me that downplaying the urgency in any way, shape or form is a huge mistake.
