Also, all this hand-wringing that "Afghanistan" will once again become a training ground and hideout for terrorists and terrorism rings hollow and incredulous in the context of the pandemic. What's a greater threat to national security, the pandemic or Islamic terrorism? Based on what has killed more people, hands down the pandemic is a many times greater existential threat. Over 630,000 Americans have perished from COVFEFE-45 and some say that is a conservative estimate and it may be more. How many Americans on American soil have died directly from an Islamic terrorist attack? The tally pales in comparison to the damage inflicted by COVFEFE-45 and that ultimately will be inflicted by COVFEFE-45 if and when the pandemic ever ends.

Excellent, especially underscoring that Kabul is not Afghanistan and Afghanistan as a country and/or nation only exists on paper in the abstract. Biden is taking it on the chin as he should, but America's withdrawal, as obscene as it is, is the right thing to do at this point. America needs to proceed subsequent the withdrawal as though Afghanistan does not exist except on paper as a foil. It must have nothing to do with Afghanistan going forward. It should not acknowledge it let alone meddle in it in any way. No sanctions. No aid. No nothing. Let China and Russia court the Golem that is the Taliban. We'll see how that alliance unfolds.
