The poll was simply ridiculous, maybe if y'all would stop smack talking Biden, the public could see the good he has done and is still doing. We don't have an alternative, and he's a good guy. We used to respect wisdom and experience. Without all his experience he could not have done all he has.

Great question. Open to thoughts.

I think that the most harmful developments will come from climate change, the warmongering U.S. foreign policy, abrogation of public health, and wealth distribution among U.S. residents.

There is a common factor in the foundation for all the issues above: corporate capitalism.

The vast preponderance of us are the losers in a class war. The very few winners feel immune to any consequences. Until they are disabused of such notions -- we are in a doom loop. We need massive strikes and productive social disobedience. To specify what is productive social disobedience, I quote a former Supreme Court Justice, "you know it when you see it."

In short, there are remedies that elections will not effect.

Our nation has serious problems: groundwater and soil depletion, an economy skewed towards bullshit jobs with finance accounting for much of the 'productivity', a soon to be overused military with insufficient personnel in both numbers and quality equipped with overpriced and under performing weaponry and a maniacal urge to keep pumping global warming fossil fuels from our depths.

Seriously, which duopoly politician gives you any confidence that these and the many more additional pressing issues I did not list will be dealt with effectively?

When one considers which Democrat should be the nominee: is it possible to name one truly qualified to enact the wrenching change necessary to preserve life in some semblance to what we have now? In short, no.

The other half of our horrid duopoly is no better. Any Republican running currently is unqualified.

We as citizens must demand better. Taking ballot line access management away from the duopoly is a start. Public campaign financing would help truly qualified and dedicated citizens to run for office.

Yeah, Biden should retire -- but then what?

The Whitmer kidnapping case driven by FBI embeds disqualifies her. Not yet, but soon the Republicans will make a convincing case that 1/6 was driven by law enforcement embeds, just like the Whitmer kidnapping plot.

The only acceptable Democrats are the ones the neoliberal leadership purged years ago.

If I voted again (very big IF), right now it would have to be for Trump. Not because he's earned my vote, but because he's not actively trying to kill the world unlike all the rest of them.

So if the Blob can't handle the loss of its own Afghanistan disaster, then we are in for:

- "we gotta stay in Israel cuz they're a 'democracy'"....

- Trump will show up at The Wall in a yamaka - again

- Mike Pompeo will be Trump's shadows and in late Jan 2025 drop bombs somewhere in the Middle East when he's Secretary of Something - again

- 1/3 to 1/2 of the Blob will be move to the private sector of the MIC

- Trump will declare some poor kid an "Antifa" member and send the Border Patrol to eliminate him or her

- and with a couple of sunken ships and a few thousand dead American soldiers, we'll be ready for another election fight in 2028

- rinse/repeat

Last night's election showed us loud and clear that polls are bullshit.

Curious as to which state you live in because those polls look fairly accurate to me. I worked on D campaigns in red states, btw, and know how to read polls.

Biden partisans will look at yesterday's election results and insist that everything is going according to plan.
