To paraphrase George Carlin, "The Democrats, it's a big party but no one, especially you, is in it."

The corporation that is the Democratic Party got sanction from the Supreme Court to run their business as they see fit.

So quit digging; start the massive work to build a new party.

This project for a new party won't happen in my lifetime, but good news I'm old. It very likely can take form in yours.

Another idea is the Constitutional Convention that is the wet dream of the hard right: well prepare for it and obtain proportional representation in a vastly expanded House with the elimination of the Senate.

Through in an amendment to outlaw the concept of a corporation as a person and our nation might become livable.

Honestly, starting sortition would be better in lieu of the electoral travesties that exist now.

For one I'm happy to see the compromising that Biden does - we needed so much to see Government actually get something done - even if the Left got upset - there has to be a point at which a decision is made, and since none of us are sitting in Biden's seat, we have to rely on him. Next time you get to vote for a president - choose the one who suits you best, that is all you can do - and maybe hope they never make YOU President because only then would you recognize just how hard it is ! So much screaming from the Idealists - when mostly it's small changes that have to be accepted else get nothing at all ! When they put YOU in the big chair you can figure it out ! At least when it's a Dem in the Presidency they are trying to get it right for most of us !

There is a word that you are missing. That word is "Empire". The imperial mechanism must at all times be fully funded. The welfare of the subjects of the Empire is at best a secondary concern.
