Long before Trump waddled down the escalator, it was abundantly obvious that Team D was useless, a distraction from power at best.
Take a look at 2008 - Obama entered into office with a substantial majority in the House, a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate, a friendly Supreme Court, Wall Street begging for rescue on any terms, the biggest national appetite for reform going back arguably to 1933 and a national media unironically comparing the man to Jesus Christ and even that dude from The Matrix. Hell, he even got a Nobel Peace Prize, basically for showing up and for not being Dubya.
The closest thing to one-party rule since LBJ and what did Obama do with it? More wars, the renewal and extension of the so-called "Patriot Act" , plenty of money for his rich buddies, and warmed over Romneycare.

Let me suggest a revision to your question. Are there White Hats up to the task?
Hopefully I am not invoking a corollary of Betteridge's Law.
Thomas, enjoy your vacation!
Thank you. I'll try to keep posting, but there will be distractions.
