This Friday Links post pretends to be about Joe Biden and the revolt against his 2024 candidacy — by party leaders and important others, speaking through “Morning Joe” Scarborough; and by the CIA, speaking through CIA-adjacent journalist David Ignatius.

But this post is really about something else, as you’ll see lower down. The meme above is a hint. Intrigued? Read on.

Today’s offering includes five links and, of course, your musical offering, this time something different than you might expect.

• Elite Media Panics over Biden Age (Breaking Points)

The video is interesting for several reasons. Note the role of Joe Scarborough’s show as a thought leader-cum-idea filterer for the insider Beltway crowd (1:10). Note also David Ignatius’s role as a major information pass-through operative-cum-propagandist of the CIA; that is, they speak through him (2:13).

• Pelosi Refuses to Endorse Kamala Harris (Breaking Points)

This video adds to the story. As I read this, not only does much of the Party machine want Biden out, they want Harris out as well.

It would be easy to miss what’s really important about what Pelosi says here. Yes, as the Breaking Points hosts say, Pelosi refused to endorse Harris. But she did more than that — Pelosi sabotaged Harris. She said, in essence, Harris had just 6% support from voters in her Attorney General race, but because she “did her politics” she became Attorney General. Then she repeated in a whisper, “six percent!”

Recall that Harris dropped out of the 2020 primary with just 3.4% of the voters on her side. Here’s Harris’s approval rating as of this writing:
