From Tom Harmann of 'The Tom Hartmann Show' (paraphrase) All owners of guns (police included) must carry liability insurance, and if said insurance is untannable or cancelled (for whatever reasons) all person will not be allowed to carry firearms (police) included.

Imagine the payouts (the above sats) for these insurance companies who would not tolerate such behaviors by gun owners (police included). Now, will there be local, state or Federal insurance coverage (a good question)? But in the least, it would be a good start.

By the way: Hartmann believes that The Democratic Party can be reformed (nonsense) as they've always been what they are now but just more in your face, as it goes!

The listed reasons are nice, but fail to truly get to the heart of the matter. What is different about the last two ICE killings is the race of the two victims. They were the backbone of the PMC. Like the killing of Charlie Kirk, which seemed to spark an outcry on social media, the death of a "made" man, aka white person, is the true red line.

Good point, Alexander.

Take a chill-pill, Thomas.

There is one HUGE difference between the murders of Renée Good and Alex Pretti and EVERY OTHER police shooting in the land, fatal or non-fatal. It took Republican gadfly Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky to point it out: virtually EVERY police officer EVER who uses lethal force is immediately placed on ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE pending an independent review by the department and the District Attorney.

I was a prosecutor in a top-20 jurisdiction for 32 years and this failure by ICE Barbie, J Edgar Kash, and Ernst Rohmvino is a GLARING problem. They are actively HIDING Renée Good’s killer, CBP Agent Jonathan Ross, from investigators. I regularly speak with retired cops and they’re losing their minds about the lack of accountability and process on naked display. Where are the idiot Democrats on this?

The cosplay-cops finally announced 20 minutes ago that Alex Pretti’s killers were suddenly suspended, but what about Renée Good’s murderer? The other thing that my retired cops agree with me on is that these were “dirty” shoots and that Murder charges should be filed.

The "Trumpian State" didn't magically spring forth on Inauguration Day 2025. As Stephen Semler's Substack has shown, the record ICE budgets are bipartisan as the Biden-Harris administration signed off on record ICE budgets. Our rulers want to spend more on ICE than the Turkey spends on its military. Your point about Trump being hated also shows the hypocrisy of our virtuous liberal class who howl about "kids in cages" and extrajudical killings but were fine when Obama did it. I guess Biden was an improvement when at a debate in 2020 he suggested that cops shoot people in the leg!

Instead of going off on a long winded rant, I'll give you another point to ponder vis a vis law enforcement being unaccountable. A few years back, the Illinois General Assembly passed a bill outlawing assault weapons and Governor JB Pritzker signed it into law. As this piece shows 74 sheriff's department's refused to enforce the law. https://abcnews.go.com/US/74-illinois-sheriffs-departments-vow-defy-new-state/story?id=96384352

By the way, there are 102 sheriff's department in the state. They have nullification powers. They didn't wait for a Supreme Court decision.

P.S. A dozen years ago, Radley Balko wrote an excellent book entitled, Rise of the Warrior Cop: The Militarization of America's Police Forces

This last killing was a threat. You want to protest? Think twice!

A lot of Minnesotans did protest. The next day one of their number gets executed.

But as this essay points out, executions are part and parcel of American contemporary culture. Because unwarranted nonjudicial executions are our historical legacy. See the Pinkertons.

Our societal rot is far deeper than Trump. We have a lot to change. We have even more to face and own as a country.
