Yasha Levine wrote years ago in “Surveillance Valley” of how the Internet was conceived from the beginning as a panopticon. I personally know someone who was in the building where every page view is collected and stored to be called up, supposedly after a warrant is issued. Ed Snowden wrote years ago of the embedded microphones in our devices that can’t be turned off.

The unqualified and incompetent Jake Sullivans and Antony Blinkens are just as insecure as the Pete Hegseths and Marco Rubios of this world — opposition of any sort is “terrorism” in their eyes. The rabid self-censorship of mainstream Democrats when faced with Biden’s blatant cognitive decline, war mongering, and support of genocide makes it plain that the panopticon works.

Google is absolutely NOTORIOUS for simply removing flags. Plainly, you're not really supposed to be able to turn these things off, and eventually, when they decide they no longer need those flags for testing, they will remove them.
