A note about scheduling. After this week I’ll be taking a break to tour the Great Midwest from Kansas to Chicago and several parts between. I’ll see family and friends, walk old streets and roads, and get out, relax, and get a few chapters done.
About those chapters: As some of you know, I’m working on a fictional saga, a series of political thrillers that starts in 2028 and ends when the central character finally dies, celebrating the ruin he caused.
The first book, set in mid-saga, is finished and circulating. If you know an agent who may be interested, drop me a line.
The second, which starts the adventure, is a quarter complete. I have to say, this series is a blast to work on.
As for God’s Spies, this week will proceed as always, except that the Friday post will be free to all. After this week, no posting until October 20 for Friday Links, or the 25th, when weekly work will resume.
Thanks to everyone for your readership and encouragement. The site has grown remarkably in 2023. I look forward to resuming after this short break.

Celebrating Ruin jumped out at me as a disturbingly powerful title.
